Essa \u00e8 un esempio di <strong>roccia granulare<\/strong>, in quanto \u00e8 costituita da piccolissimi frammenti di roccia compresi, generalmente, tra 63 micrometri e 2 millimetri. La sabbia comune, ad esempio, \u00e8 costituita principalmente da silicio sotto forma di quarzo, e di granito.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Per <strong>precipitazioni ipersaline<\/strong>. Esse si trovano nelle zone costiere tropicali e subtropicali. Molto famose sono le dune di sabbia di gesso del <strong>Monumento Nazionale White Sands<\/strong> nel New Messico. In Italia \u00e8 molto suggestiva la spiaggia nera di <strong>Stromboli<\/strong> bagnata da una mare decisamente cristallino. Un esempio \u00e8 la spiaggia verde di <strong>Papakolea<\/strong>, situata nell&#8217;arcipelago delle Hawaii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>sabbia rosa<\/strong>, anch&#8217;essa abbastanza rara, \u00e8 costituita principalmente da resti di coralli e conchiglie, feldspato ed ematite. Una spiaggia italiana caratterizzata dalla sabbia rossa \u00e8 quella dell&#8217;isola di Budelli in <strong>Sardegna<\/strong>.
