Tutte le forme di uso del tabacco distruggono la capacit\u00e0 dell&#8217;organismo di mantenere l&#8217;omeostasi e la salute.<\/p>\n\n\n<div id=\"bmscience2186297455\" style=\"margin-top: 15px;margin-left: 15px;float: right;\"><div style=\"\r\n  width: 300px;\r\n  margin: 0 auto;\r\n  text-align: center;\r\n\">\r\n<div data-id='24153' class='amazon-auto-links aal-js-loading'><p class='now-loading-placeholder'>Caricamento&#8230;<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>Dove c&#8217;\u00e8 fumo c&#8217;\u00e8 danno.<br><\/strong>L&#8217;esposizione cronica al fumo distrugge progressivamente l&#8217;elasticit\u00e0 dei polmoni con conseguente rischio di <strong>enfisema<\/strong>, provocato dalla distruzione degli alveoli e dal collasso dei bronchioli respiratori, cosicch\u00e9 l&#8217;ingresso dell&#8217;ossigeno nei polmoni si fa sempre pi\u00f9 difficoltoso.<br>La <strong>bronchite<\/strong> \u00e8 un&#8217;infiammazione del tratto respiratorio superiore. Nei fumatori le bronchiti croniche possono derivare dall&#8217;irritazione prodotta dal fumo di sigaretta. La &#8220;tosse del fumatore&#8221; ne \u00e8 un sintomo e, se non trattata, espone al rischio di contrarre infezioni pi\u00f9 serie e di incorrere in danni permanenti alle <strong>vie respiratorie<\/strong>. Anche nel breve periodo, diversi fattori diminuiscono l&#8217;efficienza respiratoria dei fumatori.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La <strong>nicotina<\/strong> restringe i bronchioli terminali, diminuendo la ventilazione polmonare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Il <strong>monossido di carbonio<\/strong> (CO) del fumo si lega all&#8217;emoglobina e ne riduce la capacit\u00e0 di trasportare ossigeno.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gli <strong>agenti irritanti<\/strong> del fumo causano l&#8217;aumentata secrezione di <strong>muco<\/strong> nell&#8217;albero bronchiale e la tumefazione del rivestimento mucoso, rallentando il flusso di aria dentro e fuori i polmoni.
